PRACTICE PROMPT BUILDER

Select your workflow, type in your subject, and this tool assembles a detailed AI image generation prompt designed specifically for Adobe Illustrator practice exercises — not a finished design, but a clear work-in-progress reference image you can draw from. Choose from Pen Tool anchor point guides, tablet sketch construction diagrams, and shape-based Pathfinder breakdowns, across three difficulty levels.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Select your workflow. Choose the Illustrator technique you are practicing — Pen Tool, Tablet, or Shape-Based. Each one produces a completely different visual style tailored to that technique.
  • Enter your subject. Type anything — a bear, a sneaker, a logo shape, a coffee cup. It gets inserted directly into the prompt so your reference image is specific to your practice session.
  • Choose what you are building. Select your design goal — Character, Logo, Badge, Pattern, T-Shirt, or Illustration. This adjusts the prompt language to match the type of design you are working toward.
  • Set difficulty and format. Pick your skill level and canvas format, then copy the assembled prompt.
  • Paste into your AI image generator. Use Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL-E, or any other tool. The output is a work-in-progress construction diagram, not a finished design — exactly what you need as a practice reference.
  • WHAT EACH WORKFLOW PRODUCES

  • Pen Tool — a vector blueprint-style diagram showing your subject as exposed anchor points and Bézier handles on a dotted grid, with zero fills and zero finished illustration quality. Useful for visualizing how paths and curves map onto a subject before drawing.
  • Tablet — a rough red pencil sketch on a cream textured background showing your subject in its construction stage — geometry lines, contour layers, and gesture marks all visible simultaneously, never resolved into a finished drawing.
  • Shape-Based — a geometric construction diagram showing your subject built from labeled primitives or Pathfinder operation steps, with each shape component visible as a distinct flat color before merging.

I appreciate your videos. I have been an illustrator user for years and have my own ways of doing things. It's great to see other ways of using tools and learning tricks I didn't know were available! It's also good to see you doing the same thing as me in other instances, confirming I'm on the right track!Andy Zenz
Awesome tutorial! I don't think I've picked up something so easily from someone who knows what they are doing. I managed to draw my first vector art and it was a joy! Great work keep it up!blitz145
